In March 2009, we have visited Auschwitz concentration camps built by Nazi German in occupied Poland area during WWII. At that time, the cat had greeted us very friendly by sitting up (we call it "Chin Chin" in Japanese) just under the world famous gate. Photo by Teiichi Aoyama Data:Nikon CoolPix S10 at Auschwitz in Poland, in March 2009 The gate of AuschwitzI concentration camp is very famous for the words written by German "Arbeit Macht Frei" means "will be released if they worked" in English. It is really a great irony and cynicism. Because, as you may know, 80% or more Jews who passed through this famous gate had never returned. Both of us became very happy to see this cat at this tragic site. Please see my face look so happy!
